Plastic Body Repair
- Gas pump globe body made of plastic, into which glass lenses are inserted. Manufactured from about 1932 to the present, although most common in the 1950's.
- Make good (such damage) by fixing or repairing it
- Put right (a damaged relationship or unwelcome situation)
- the act of putting something in working order again
- Fix or mend (a thing suffering from damage or a fault)
- restore by replacing a part or putting together what is torn or broken; "She repaired her TV set"; "Repair my shoes please"
- a formal way of referring to the condition of something; "the building was in good repair"
Mamiya 645 Internals (gear side)
Mamiya 645 J and 1000S camera bodies for parts/repair with their right sides off (and the wind on the bottom one). On one of them, a spring had wrapped itself around a nearby gear. On the other, a switch contact had broken (the plastic base of the switch 'lever' contact arm had weakened and snapped in two).
Olympus XA Disassembly - 5/5
When putting the top back on, remember to slide the black plastic film that protects the rangefinder between the body and the lens. To put the top back in place, insert it in the front of the body first, then pivot it back in place.
